In large metropolitan areas where the cost of living in already high, you can expect lipo prices to be higher than in areas of the country where the cost of living is less. So in California, and New York City you can pay more for your liposuction than in the South say for instance.

You must also factor in safety when considering liposuction prices. In fact you must treat liposuction as you would any major surgery. If you are paying remarkably less in your area for a liposuction procedure than the average, then you may in fact be paying for lack of experience, or poor facilities, and absent services that are essential to your well-being during and after surgery.

Although the vast majority of physicians are qualified and will attempt to take the best care of you that they possibly can - it is an important fact to remember. So you may in fact be getting a surgeon who specializes in a completely different area than the plastic surgery you are seeking. It is better - by far – to pay more for an experienced cosmetic surgeon who specializes in your area of concern. The alternative - can be the fodder of plastic surgery horror stories.
